2026 Chalk Artist Application

Thank you for your interest in joining us as a featured artist at Fall for You! If you have any questions about the event or chalk art competition, please reach out to Lexy Kingsbaker at LKingsbaker@arapahoegov.com.

What we’re looking for:

Artists of all ages that specialize in chalk art- Teams of two welcome!
Create (1) completed mural on Saturday, October 24, 2026

If selected, featured artists will receive:

$100 stipend.
10’x10’ booth to sell and/or display your masterpieces (not required).
Access to Artist Lounge; complimentary snacks and beverages.
Two complimentary tickets to Fall for You (per artist or team).
Exposure to Fall for You community.

Other Details:

Chalking spaces are located outdoors.
Artists must start and complete their selected piece during the outlined times below
- Saturday, October 24 - Festival times are 11 a.m.- 4 p.m. All pieces need to be completed before 3:30 p.m.
Size Requirements for Chalk Pieces:
- Maximum 9' x 9'
- Minimum 6' x 6'

Fan Favorite Pieces!

Each attendee will get a chance to vote on their favorite artwork at Fall for You.
There will be two categories, ages 18 and under and 18+.
Votes will done through a QR code that each artist will have at their space.
All votes will be calculated in the final hour of the event and the winner will be announced shortly after.
Our fan favorites each day will be presented with a $100 prize and winner's ribbon!

Do's and Don'ts

We are so excited to work with you! And watch as your murals come to life. Just a couple reminders as you are preparing your masterpieces:

Please refrain from including any of the following in your mural
- Paraphernalia (keep it G-rated)
- Depictions of violence
- Politics
Murals should be original pieces
Artists must be actively working on their piece throughout the festival. The fun for our guests is to watch "art in action"!
Festival times are 11am-4pm. All pieces need to be completed before 3:30pm.
Sign ups & final artwork should be submitted to lkingsbaker@arapahoegov.com no later than October 5.

To process your stipend, all artists will need to submit a completed W9. Please note, any W9's submitted after October 5, 2026 will not be guaranteed to have a check onsite. Thank you for your understanding with this!
